Robert Currey sold his chain of contemporary furniture stores in the 1980s and began working on concepts and products for the garden as well as for the home. Inspired by his own garden-oriented retail stores and their need for interesting merchandise, he incorporated his already prospering product development and marketing business in 1988

Inspirations for these designs often come from the past as familiar shapes and materials are translated into items appropriate for today's consumers. Wrought iron, brass, silver, wood and porcelain as well as a variety of ethnic materials are used to create these designs.
